We introduce an analytical method, namely the Homotopy Anal ysis Transform Method (HATM), which is a combination of the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) and the Laplace Decomposition Method (LDM). A new application of the HATM is presented for the solution of the fractional order Riccati differential equation. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method is verified through three examples and comparison with exact solutions.
